Through the recent research, the scoliosis experts conclude that the causes of scoliosis for 80% of the cases and those scoliosis cases are called idiopathic scoliosis. "Idiopathic" means unknown causes. Generally, the sorting causes of scoliosis can be regarded as follows:

Idiopathic scoliosis
The cause of this type of scoliosis is unknown and 80% of patients belong to idiopathic scoliosis. There are some researches showing that the children whose parents have scoliosis are 14 times more likely to be affected by scoliosis. The second factor is usually considered to be hormone. Some research also shows that hormone levels between the scoliosis patients and normal people are different which enables people to believe that hormone has something to do with the scoliosis. The last factor is that the abnormal development of the vertebrae of the spine or the soft tissues alongside the spine.

Congenital scoliosis

This means that the scoliosis is caused when the child is formed and grows in the mother’s abdomen. The factors like improper movement, abnormal vertebrae development, and lack of vertebrae can all be the causes of scoliosis.

Neuromuscular scoliosis
This kind of cause means the nervous influence in the scoliosis. Some neuromuscular diseases and nervous injury can lead to scoliosis.
No matter what is the causes of scoliosis, it is easy to be corrected when people is being growing age. If we let the scoliosis develop without control, it can press viscera and even cause deformity.

Patients should pay attention to the treatment, exercise, diet and daily care to achieve a better treatment effect. Western treatment for rheumatoid arthritis is antibiotics to suppress immune inflammatory reaction together with functional exercises.Serious joints damage requires joint replacement surgery, which has inflammatory risks and second surgery. When should patients with RA have joint replacement surgery? The advantages of western treatment is fast to relive joints pain but can lead to serious side effects. However, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has little side effects. Hou's Therapy is a comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine composed of 21 kinds of therapies and more than 40 kinds of self-researched medicines. Study shows people take lowest olive oil is more likely to catch rheumatoid arthritis. The compound in olive oil stops the production of the chemicals that induce inflammation. Just as the function of NSAIDs that can lower inflammation by preventing the production of the same chemicals. When it comes to fighting inflammation, opt for extra-virgin olive oil. Extra-virgin olive oil comes from the first pressing of the olive and contains the highest content of health-promoting nutrients. In addition, applying the olive oil on the swelling parts also has the function of anti-inflammation to relieve the joints pain. Therefore, extra virgin olive oil is a kind of inflammation-fighting food.

Inflammation Fighting Food:Fish

As the word "arthritis" shows, arthritic diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS),gout, Osteoarthritis etc all related to inflammation. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), arthritis is a kind of Bi Syndrome which means attack of evil energies such as wind, cold, dampness and even hot. These evil energies attack immune system and cause immune inflammatory reaction. The result is painful, red and swelling joints. Without effective treatment, painful joints can develop into deformed or disabled joints. Therefore, effective treatment and timely treatment are important.
Besides the treatment, you can choose proper food and exercise to prevent joints damage

Inflammation Fighting Food:Fish
Fish is a kind of inflammation-fighting foods for rheumatoid arthritis. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have higher levels of substances called cytokines that ramp up inflammation in the body. Polyunsaturated fats – especially omega-3 fatty acids – help suppress cytokines and other inflammatory chemicals.
All fish have some omega-3s. But salmon, herring, sardines, and anchovies are chock full of them. Salmon provides the most, with up to 2 grams of omega-3 fatty acids per 3-ounce serving. Go lightly with the heat; overcooking can destroy more than half of the omega-3s. Bake or grill fish instead of frying it to preserve healthful fat. Patients with RA had better take twice fish a week.
If you don’t like fish, you can choose other foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids include walnuts, canola oil, and soybeans. If you think necessary, you can ask your doctors foods containing omega-3 fatty acids that you can take.

Difference between Rheumatosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis

Difference between Rheumatosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
There are many similarities of Rheumatosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis, such as wind, cold, dampness and arthralgia, while there are essential differences and the implication of Rheumatism is more extensive.
First, different pathogenesis Rheumatism is caused by pathogenic factors of wind, cold and dampness, but it doesn’t involve heart, not damage the bone substance, and most patients can be cured. Few cases of Rheumatism are caused by streptococcal infection. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a type of autoimmunity disease. Although Rheumatoid Arthritis does not belong to hereditary disease, it may relate to genetic factor and the morbidity among women in 20-40 is much higher.
Second, pathology The pathological basis of Rheumatism is synovitis and vasculitis, while there is no certain pathological basis.
Third, symptoms For Rheumatism, the involved joints don’t deform and most the involved joints are large joints. For Rheumatoid Arthritis, usually, the early symptoms of it are joint pain, swelling, stiff, inconvenience of activity and so on. Sometimes, these symptoms are severe, while sometimes are mild. Besides, it recurs repeatedly during the long course of disease. In the initial stage, facet joint of fingers and toes will appear symmetry swelling. And in fater period, there will be joint deformity. Although few patients are complicated with cardiovascular disease, most patients have no symptoms of heart.
Forth, diagnosis Diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis: 1, morning stiffness of joint and surrounding tissue lasts at less 1h (course of disease≥6 weeks); 2, arthritis of three or more than three joints; 3, symmetry arthritis; 4, rheumatoid nodules; 5, positive in rheumatoid factors; 6, radiology change; Diagnosis of rheumatism: there is no certain diagnosis index, but the rheumatoid fact is negative and there is no radiology change.
Fifth, treatment Usually, there is no effective medicine in western medicine for rheumatism. Patients of rheumatism can be cured soon with traditional Chinese medicine for expelling wind, removing cold, promoting blood circulation and removing stasis. On the contrary, rheumatoid arthritis needs System western medicine treatment in the early stage, and the combined application of Traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is the best option for patients.

Do I Need to See Rheumatology Doctor if I Have Raynaud’s Phenomenon

Do I Need to See Rheumatology Doctor if I Have Raynaud’s Phenomenon
Weather is getting colder and colder, doctors find more patients whose hands would turn white and then turn red or porphyreus when they meet cold air or cold water. In thus conditions, do patients need to see a doctor, especially a rheumatology doctor?
Indeed, this symptom is called Raynaud’s Phenomenon, which gained the name because Doctor Raynaud found it earliest. Certainly, this phenomenon doesn’t occur on hands only. It can involve feet and skin of other parts, while hands are the most common parts. If this kind of symptoms occurs on your body, please pay great attention to it which is reminder of abnormity in the body, instead of a normal physiological reaction.
Usually, this is the early reminder of some serious disease, such as lupus erythematosus, sicca syndrome, dermatomyositis, systemic sclerosis and so on. What is the cause of Raynaud’s Phenomenon? Modern medicine believes that some factors in body cause the inflammation of minute vessels, leading to vasospasm and even lumen stenosis. In normal conditions, vessels can maintain certain blood flow to guarantee blood supply of tissues, so there will no any abnormal sysmptoms. When patients in cold air or water, the vessels will shrink, causing in blood short supply of the surrounding tissues, and then the skin will turn white. After a long time, the blood short supply will aggravate, and then skin will turn purple or red. Besides, most disease with vasculitis is immune disease, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, sicca syndrome, dermatomysitis, microscopic polyangiitis and so on.
So what the patients should do when Raynaud’s Phenomenon occurs? First, you need to pay enough attention to this symptom. As previously mentioned, some people have this symptom only in winter, so they thought it was chilblain and didn’t pay enough attention to. For some cases, it will progress into classic rheumatic autoimmune disease years later. Second, you should not be scared. Because Raynaud’s Phenomenon is the early symptom of many diseases, the disease can be diagnosed or treated timely if you can see a specialist positively. Third, you need to go to see a rheumatology doctor as early as possible. As it is the early reminder of rheumatic autoimmune disease, patients can be diagnosed exactly and treated properly.
